Welcome to this exclusive Meteora tour departing from Athens! Your journey begins with a scenic 220-mile drive along the highway, offering you a comfortable and secure experience with a licensed driver.
As you approach Meteora, prepare to be captivated by the majestic rocky cliffs that house the Christian Orthodox monasteries perched on top. The panoramic views are truly breathtaking, providing a unique and awe-inspiring atmosphere.
Once you arrive in Meteora, the second segment of your tour starts. We start our exploration together through time and take us back to the 14th century, as we wander around the monasteries, trying to imagine the way of life during that period. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the daily routines of the nuns and monks, and observe their everyday jobs.
With six active monasteries to choose from, we will tailor the selection based on your preferences and the opening days and hours of each.
Rest assured, this is a private tour, and your group will not be joined by others. As your licensed tour guide, I will accompany you both inside and outside the monasteries, providing insightful commentary and ensuring a personalized experience.
